The Supreme Patriarch of Anamikaya, Founder of MPV

Both the parents of the Supreme Patriarch of Anamikaya were originated from Ji Yang, Guang Dong Province, China, both worked as farmers. They migrated to Tiah Ban Village, Kanchanaburi, the northern part of Thailand when they were still young. In year 1927, they gave birth to Supreme Patriarch and named him as Oou Joo Heng. When Supreme Patriarch was about six months old, his parents brought him back to their ancestral hometown and when he was about two, his parents again brought him back to his birthplace — Kanchanaburi.

Supreme Patriarch received his primary education when he was seven but due to the astaticism of the political situation in Thailand with addition to their poverty, Patriarch was forced to discontinue schooling. Even though he has to stop school education at such a young age due to the coercible circumstances, Patriarch never forgoes his further education despite this imperfection. When he was eighteenth, he ordained as a novice in the Long Shan Temple and received his formal Sangha education there in due form. When he was twentieth, he attended his tonsure at the Hui Shou Temple, becoming the Dharma child of the Anamikaya (one of the Mahayana Schools). For a long time after his ordination as a bikkhu, he has been participated in all the activities as organized by the Sangha School enthusiastically.

In year 1969, Patriarch intended to establish his first Sangha High School but due to the deficiency in all kinds of factors, he therefore had to relinquish such plan. After that, he made several attempts but all these attempts were proven fail?

Supreme Patriarch has placed very high importance in the development of education. In fact, his entire life was devoted to administrating educational work. In year 1989, he launched his first high school (Pu Fu High School) and not long after that, he started to fund-raised and constructed a seven storey high Teaching Block, amounting to a total of more than thirty million Thai Baht. Before long, he again raised one hundred and fifty million Thai Baht for the setting up of Sangha Educational Foundation. He reckoned the development of Buddhist education as the obligatory cum inviolable mission of all Four Vagars (bhikkhu, bhikkhuni, male and female devotees). He once commented: In my life time, I should be able to see the launching of a Buddhist University which I've aspirated to establish for the past 40 years!

In 2001, the Supreme Patriarch of Anamikaya authorized

Venerable Ongpotjanagongosol to set up Mahapanya Vidayalai in Hat Yai.
