  The Firm Fundation in Proliferating Buddha Dhamma 

  Buddhism was originated in India about 2500 years ago. Buddhism is already a known religion all over the world. Though presently Buddhism is almost vanished in India, in the region of Asia and even Europe and America, 

Buddhism is in the destiny of extensive development.

In today’s society, Problems like poverty, disputes and so on are bountiful. Under such circumstances, we can make use of Buddha Dhamma to resolve these problems.

Mahapanya Vidayalai was launched in B.E. 2545, emphasizing on her objectives to cultivated mankind’s wisdom with the aid of Buddha Dhamma and leading them into the realm of peace and bliss. Meanwhile, MPV has already started with the faculty of Buddhist study, which English is used as the teaching media, accommodating students from both oversea and local.

Upon launching, MPV has clearly stated within her plan to provide teachings on Buddha Dhamma and emphasize the teaching both theoretically and practically. MPV has organize meditation courses for students in which the enables students to practice Buddha Dhamma trough the actual practice. With long and ceaseless promotion on students would then coupled with their academic curriculum, knowledge to propagate Buddha Dhamma through both theoretical and practical ways hence, promote the efficiency in educating the commonality.

In summary, this MPV’s mission and this serves as the firm foundation that proliferating Buddha Dhamma in our near future.

บทบรรณาธิการ:   การเผยแผ่พุทธศาสนาในเอเชีย

พระพุทธศาสนามีจุดกำเนิดในอินเดียมากว่า  2,500  ปี  และได้เผยแพร่ไปสู่ประเทศต่างๆ  ในเอเชียมาเป็นเวลาช้านาน   ปัจจุบันพุทธศาสนาแทบจะหายไปจากอินเดีย   แต่ไปเจริญรุ่งเรืองในเอเชียตะวันตกเฉียงใต้   เช่น   ไทย  พม่า  ศรีลังกา   และประเทศอื่นๆ  แม้แต่ในทวีปยุโรปและอเมริกา

                ในปัจจุบันคนในสังคมส่วนใหญ่มีความทุกข์และมีความขัดแย้งในสังคมค่อนข้างสูง   สถานการณ์ดังกล่าวจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่จะต้องนำพระพุทธศาสนามาใช้ในการแก้ปัญหาสังคม

                มหาปัญญาวิทยาลัยได้จัดตั้งขึ้นในปี  2545  โดยมีเป้าหมายที่จะมุ่งเน้นให้พระพุทธศาสนาเป็นแกนหลักในการพัฒนามนุษย์ไปสู่ความสุขและสันติภาพ  โดยการเปิดสอนหลักสูตรปริญญาตรีเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ  โดยรับพระภิกษุจากไทยและประเทศต่างๆในเอเซีย

                มหาปัญญาวิทยาลัยมีนโยบายที่ชัดเจนที่จะจัดสอนพระพุทธศาสนาโดยเน้นด้านปริยัติและปฏิบัติควบคู่กันโดยจะเปิดการฝึกอบรมปฏิบัติวิปัสสนากรรมฐานให้แก่พระนิสิตอย่างต่อเนื่องและยาวนานจนพระนิสิตมีความรู้ความสามารถในการเผยแผ่ธรรมด้านการปฏิบัติให้แก่มหาชนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพนี่คือเป้าหมายที่ชัดเจนของมหาปัญญาวิทยาลัยในการเผยแผ่พุทธศาสนาสู่มหาชนในเอเซียในอนาคต
