MPV College is mainly a Mahayana institution and so are the temple structures which are modeled from Sino-Vietnamese Mahayana architecture, yet it advocates amicable study environment for all schools of Buddhism (Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana). It is a great learning center where you will see thought-provoking cultural exchanges of views and traditions.
MPV has sufficient accommodation facilities for all the monks who are studying here. It has two blocks of dormitories. One belongs to the Theravada Sangha and other for Mahayana Sangha. It also has a block of quarters for the staffs and teachers. Theravada Sangha dormitory is located under the giant Kshitigarbha Statue, where five spacious rooms are available. Mahayana Sangha dormitory is in the multi-purpose building block just opposite to the MPV administration office. And the staff quarter block is behind the Mahayana Sangha dormitory where we have staffs and Vajrayana teachers staying.
Please note that these rooms are not commercial hotels: there are no phones or TVs in the rooms, nor is there any provision for room services. Visitors are also requested to participate (if possible) morning and evening prayers with the monks. The temple gates close at 10.00 p.m. and our guests are solicited to be inside the campus before this.
Our visitors halting at MPV are requested to take permission from temple abbot or any authorized person.
MPV car park is open to the public for car and motor cycle parking from 6.00 am until 9.30 pm.
Any kind of pre-booking is not allowed, as the car park operates as a normal public car park.
